Please read our standard terms and conditions for acceptance of working with Secure Your Home below.

CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS FOR ORDERS PLACED ON WWW.SECUREYOURHOME.CO.ZA

There are a few important things to keep in mind regarding cancelling your order or returning the products you purchased.

  • Should you wish to cancel an order, it must be done telephonically within 24hrs of placing the order to avoid unnecessary liability of courier costs.
  • Secure Your Home does not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make the wrong decision. You can choose between a refund, exchange or repair, where goods are defective within 7 business days if the products are wrongly described or do not perform. After 7 days, only an exchange or repair will be offered. If the product is installed, affixed amended we will not accept a return of the product, unless defective. We may charge a handling fee if the return is accepted by management.
  • You will be liable for the costs of returning the goods.
  • Damaged or defective goods must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. The company will arrange for Aramex courier services to collect the goods.
  • Only goods that have been purchased directly from us can be returned.
  • Please ensure that the goods you are returning is repackaged with all elements and in its original packaging. A refund will not be granted if products are not in its original packaging and unused.

Payment

  • I, the signatory of these terms and conditions agree that the product may be removed from the site in the event of payment default, after Secure Your Home obtained the necessary court order permitting him to reposes such goods.
  • In order to ensure your acceptance, Secure Your Home requires full payment to confirm the order.
  • Installation/delivery will only commence once the order is paid in full. After Installation/delivery is complete and Secure Your Home, as well as the client, is satisfied with the work as indicated in the quotation, any outstanding balances must be paid in full. Please note that the goods remain the property of Secure Your Home until paid in full.
  • We may impose a cancellation fee in the event of cancellation before delivery. The fee will depend on the nature of the order, the length of notice of cancellation before delivery, the reasonable potential to find alternative clients for the order and the reason for cancellation. No refunds on deposits in the event of cancellation for already ordered/special-made goods.

Refund Policy

Warranty

  • Secure Your Home warrants its customer that the goods which have been manufactured and/or supplied by the company and delivered to the Customer, shall be free from defects to the following:
  • The warranty depends on the manufacturer’s, but is usually for a period of 6 or 12 months. The date is determined from date of installation. Depending on what the manufacturer’s warranty is, the customer will be entitled to either request a replacement or repair of goods which are defective within such a period. Each product’s warranty is different and will be reviewed independently;
  • Secure Your Home will not be held liable for goods that are defective or do not perform correctly as we are not the manufacturers of any product. We will try to resolve the problem, but should we not be successful, legal actions are to be taken up directly with the manufacturers and not Secure Your Home.
  • Secure Your Home shall not be liable or responsible in any way for any damages of whatsoever nature, including consequential and penal damages, caused by or due to any failure of operation or malfunction of the goods, unless such damages can be attributed to any circumstances reasonably within the control of Secure Your Home.
  • The warranty shall immediately be rendered null and void in the event of any of the following:
  • Any alterations or modifications or addition made to the goods supplied, without the prior consent of Secure Your Home.
  • Failure to use goods in accordance with the instructions and specifications.
  • General misuse and abuse of goods.
  • Tampering with products, such as moving, disconnecting and reprogramming.
  • Any damage caused by fire, flood civil disturbance or act of God.
  • The client not having its original Invoice available to be supplied to Secure Your Home.

Wireless Products

  • Please note that wireless products have certain issues that have been brought to our attention and should you choose to go with this option, please be aware of the following:
  • Wireless products work with batteries and are not connected directly to power, thus batteries need to be replaced regularly and if not, it could lead to false alarms.
  • Often people install wireless products that they order online and it’s not always approved by ICASA. This then causes their products to interfere with approved wireless products and false alarms happen. This is out of our hands and we cannot tell when installing our approved products, there are unapproved products in the area. If our products are in full working condition and interference is confirmed, we will not give a refund, return or exchange.
  • Secure Your Home will not be held liable if you choose wireless products and the above occurs.

Moving of Furniture

  • Whilst every care will be taken in the moving of furniture, Secure Your Home will not be held liable for any damage thereto.

CCTV/camera remote application

  • Secure Your Home does not own or manage the application to view the cameras remotely.
  • This application does give issues from time to time and Secure Your Home will not be held liable when the application cannot be accessed or perform correctly. This should be taken up by the client, directly with the supplier.
  • Connecting to this application is free of charge and we do not charge anything to the client to do this, thus there will be no refund requested or given should the application not work or perform correctly.

Indemnity

  • The Client acknowledges the risk involved in the supply of the products by Secure Your Home and hereby indemnifies Secure Your Home against claims for harm/damage cause to him/his property due to reasonable control or unintentional act of any person, whether or not in the employ of Secure Your Home. This will include loss or damage caused as a result of fire or theft, or any economical lost pertaining to the harm/damage caused.
